Madame JoJo's a gogo!
Playful Promises is excited (notice how we are always excited?! It's true though!) to have teamed up with London lingerie brands Kiss Me Deadly and Fairy Gothmother for a pre-Erotica party on November 19th. Taking place at the newly revamped Madame JoJo's Nightclub in Soho, the party will showcase new designs from all three collections. Keeping with the burlesque-theme of Erotica, where Dita Von Teese will be making an appearance, we will also have some of the hottest performers in the UK - keep your eyes peeled for exactly who, but it's going to be special! More details to follow...

Playful Promises is excited to have exclusively partnered with Swedish brand Ooups throughout Scandinavia - Ooups is expanding rapidly, and planning to open 15 shops throughout the region within the next year, so if there isn't a place to buy PP near you yet in Denmark, Norway, Sweden or Finland, there will be soon!

We love their photoshoot with the Penelope Noir set as featured above.

Playful Promises Line Exclusive to Miss Lala's Boudoir
Playful Promises is well known for its funky days of week briefs in English and French and we've now extended that line to an exclusive collaboration with London boutique Miss Lala’s Boudoir, taking the idea into the Japanese language.

Japanese Kanji symbols are a bit like pictograms and we’ve matched the embroidery to a colour associated with the meaning of the word. The briefs are baby pink silk with the text to the back and a little translation under a cutesy bow on the front. Miss Lala has displayed the knickers in vintage tin sweetie boxes and they look good enough to eat!

Sunday has the Kanji for Sun so we've used mellow sunny yellow embroidery.
Monday has the Kanji for Moon so we've used electric blue after the saying once in a blue moon and we are still hoping to spot one…
Tuesday has the Kanji for Fire so we’ve done that in purple – purple is the bottom of the candle flame, and the tint of the hottest embers.
Wednesday has the Kanji for Water so we've used Aqua like a summer rock pool.
Thursday has the Kanji for Tree – so it's in red – like the flaming leaves of the Japanese maple tree that flanks the red temples.
Friday is the Kanji for Money – so of course the embroidery is green.
Saturday is the Kanji for Earth – so we've used pink – the colour of dried desert earthy sand.
The knickers are only available at Miss Lala's so call 0207 483 1888 or visit the shop at 148 Gloucester Avenue, Primrose Hill, London.
